Reikozuka(霊狐塚) in Toyokawa Inari
Toyokawa Inari(豊川稲荷) is a temple which is located in Toyokawa-city Aichi prefecture, which true name is Myogonji(妙厳寺).
Inari-shin(稲荷神) is a god of harvest in Japan. There is two types of Inari-shin. One of types is Inari shrines venerating a harvest Shinto's god (one of the gods in Japanese mythology) -Uka-no-Mitama(宇迦之御魂命) and so on-. The most famous and biggest Inari shrine is Fushimi Inari(伏見稲荷), which is very famous for a lot of mysterious torii(鳥居) (red gates).
Another type is Inari temple of Buddhism. Toyokawa Inari is the biggest Buddhist Inari temple venerating Dakiniten(荼枳尼天), who is derive from a god in Hinduism and Buddhism. Toyokawa Inari is a Buddhist temple, so there is no red gates. But it's very famous for Reikozuka. There are over 1,000 fox statues.
