Twilight in Xitang China

Xitang ( 西塘 ) is one of traditional towns in Zhejiang ( 浙江 ) Province, China. Catch phrase of Xitang is " 生活着的千年古镇 " (Lively millennium town). History of Xitang began Tang ( 唐 ) dynasty (618~907). It's over one thousand years.
Xitang is near from Shanghai, and visitors can go to there by the bus from a bus terminal of Shanghai as Zhouzhuang ( 周庄 ). [link] There are a lot of old towns and villages near Shanghai. They are standing on waterside of rivers and canals. There are filled with nostalgic atmosphere of old China. Some of them (for example "Zhouzhuang") are sometimes called "the East of Venice" by Occidental people. :)

Xitang is smaller than Zhouzhuang. But Xitang is really calm and peaceful place. There are a lot of beautiful traditional buildings and bridges in Xitang. Especially a night view of Xitang is brilliant. A lot of lights of Chinese red lamps are reflected on a surface of water. It's like a fantasy world of traditional China. When I looked it, I reminded the scene of the town of gods in "Spirited Away" of Ghibli animation. :p

By the way, part of "Mission Impossible 3" was shot in Xitang. Tom Cruise ran at full speed in Xitang. :D

西塘是我最喜欢的古镇之一。我去朱家角，周庄，锦溪，诸葛等等。。。　中国有很多老街和古镇。它们漂亮美丽有兴趣了。旅游的回忆令我难以忘怀。:p
