Ninenzaka ( 二年坂 ) is a street which is located at Kiyomizu in Kyoto. This area is a temple town of Kiyomizu-dera ( 清水寺 ). There are some old temples and shrines near Ninenzaka. This area is full of an atmosphere of Japanese traditional culture.
I've been to Japan already. If you look at my gallery I have photos. I was the the Yokosuka region. I was able to visit Tokyo (twice. Omg! That city is amazing!) and Kamakura. Kamakura was beautiful. It had a lot of temples and old style houses. It had a very quaint country feel to it and the mystical atmosphere of traditional Japan. I loved Kamakura. ^^
I want to go to Kyoto so badly. I hope that after I get done with the Navy and college, I can become an English teacher in Japan and go to Kyoto.
Almost a month. I loved it, loved the food, the people, the culture, the everything. It felt like home to me. I'm from Washington State, but still... Japan has possessed my soul. It's such a beautiful and exciting place. I love the melding of old and new. It's seriously amazing.
Thank you. I don't think I'm that great of a photographer, but everyone seems to say my photos are pretty good.
Yes, I did. It was awesome. We couldn't go inside because they were holding a memorial service, but I heard that at least six Tokugawa shoguns were buried in the temple.
